SHEC Hosts Three Cultural Competency Webinars As A Follow-Up to Cultural Competency Guide

The Southeastern Health Equity Council (SHEC) hosted a three-part webinar series in various regions of the country, as a follow-up to its Cultural Competency Resource Guide. The webinars focus on cultural competency themes. The webinars focused on the following topics:
  • the South Carolina Office of Minority Health and their work with American Indians, African-Americans and rural communities in South Carolina (Date: April 27, 2016); 
  • the Center for Pan Asian Community Services and its work with immigrants and refugees in Georgia (Date: July 28, 2016) and
  • the Community Engagement and Cultural Diversity Program at the Miami Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) and the services it provides to bring cultural and linguistic assistance to the Hispanic/Latino community in Florida (Date: October13, 2016).
