Pamela Hull is Assistant Professor of Medicine at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in the Department of Medicine, Division of Epidemiology. She previously served as Associate Director of the Center for Prevention Research at Tennessee State University. She earned a BS in sociology from Duke University and an MS and PhD in sociology from Vanderbilt University. She is a trained medical sociologist with expertise in the development and testing of behavioral interventions to promote cancer prevention behaviors in youth.

Dr. Hull’s current research focuses on the use of social marketing and new technology applications to increase uptake of the human papillomavirus vaccine, healthy eating, and physical activity among Hispanic and African American youth. She has over eight years of experience as an investigator conducting community-based participatory research, including designing and testing behavioral interventions using observational and randomized controlled study designs.
