MHP, Chief Programming Officer

Using the Promotor(a) model, MHP provides culturally-appropriate health education and outreach and sustainable community development to farmworker, migrant, border, and/or other underserved or isolated communities throughout the nation. Through increased knowledge and skill building, individuals and families will be empowered to live healthy lives.

Colleen Reinert started working for MHP in August 2008, she is currently the Chief Programming Officer for the organization. Ms. Reinert provides capacity-building assistance to Migrant and Community Health Centers and others developing Promotora Programs. Prior to her work with MHP, Ms. Reinert served as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Dominican Republic focusing on community health in Haitian populated communities. She continued working with other international organizations in the Dominican Republic to develop and implement health promoter programs and HIV Education and Detection projects for Haitian populations in sugar cane plantation communities. Ms. Reinert received a Masters in Public Health from the University of South Florida with a focus in Global Health and BA in Health and Fitness from Purdue University.
