Our purpose is to build collaboration and partnerships to achieve health equity in the Southeast region of the U.S.

Vision: To coordinate efforts in Region IV to achieve health equity through policy changes, effective programs, and greater awareness.

Mission: To inform policy, change systems, and increase awareness for health equity.

In particular, our goal is to advocate for institutional and state-level policy changes that can reduce health disparities.
Priority Areas:
  • Increase funding for Food Financing Initiatives in each state
  • Incorporate Culturally and Linguistic Appropriate Services (CLAS) standards into healthcare professional certification/licensing requirements in each state
  • Increase Awareness about the RHEC and the Affordable Care Act
